I've never had a separate DVD / VCR can not record on DVD from a videotape. Be sure to mention video recording DVD player-packing. When used, you should consult the manual for the model you are considering before you buy online.

If space is a DVD recorder, not just one player. If you are a player you can plug the DVD into your computer and burn a DVD that way, but I have not personally done this method and think it would be a loss of video quality. If you have a DVD burner in this combo, so make sure that the copy function to videos on DVD and the length of time or quality of the DVD recording (1, 2, 4 or 6 hours with an increasing loss of quality with a longer recording).
